Unlock the full potential of your supercharged R53 with the TPE Cold Air Intake Airbox, designed to deliver cooler, denser air for improved airflow, throttle response, and performance.

Unlike the restrictive factory intake system, the TPE airbox relocates the intake feed to a true cold-air source, helping reduce intake temperatures and allowing your supercharger to breathe more efficiently. At its core is a large 85 mm internal diameter airbox paired with a high-flow performance filter, significantly increasing airflow compared to the OEM unit. Air is supplied from two cold-air sources — the factory lower inlet and a secondary rear airbox feed — increasing internal volume while also enhancing the distinctive R53 supercharger sound. The airbox also features a dipped section for strut bracing, plus integrated battery support for a clean OEM-style fit.

Constructed from advanced heat-resistant plastics, the airbox avoids the heat-soak issues common with metal heat shields, helping maintain more consistent intake temperatures under real driving conditions.

The system is paired with a bespoke silicone intake hose, measuring 85 mm at the airbox side and tapering smoothly to 61 mm at the throttle body. This tapered design accelerates airflow while retaining an OE-style stepped connection for a smooth, turbulence-free transition, and prevents the hose from collapsing under load.

Dyno testing has shown gains of up to +14 WHP and +1.5 Kg-M (14.7Nm) of torque, with improvements across the entire rev range, while also unlocking a far more aggressive supercharger sound as the M45 winds out to redline.
