The AC Dodd RS FI camshaft is a performance cam profile specifically designed for forced-induction A-Series engines, making it ideal for supercharged or turbocharged Classic Mini builds.
Developed by renowned Mini engine specialist AC Dodd and manufactured for the UK market by Newman Cams, the RS FI camshaft is engineered to maximise power and efficiency in boosted applications. Unlike naturally aspirated cam profiles, forced-induction engines require reduced valve overlap and carefully optimised timing to maintain cylinder pressure and prevent boost from escaping through the exhaust. The RS FI cam is designed with this in mind, allowing the engine to make the most of available boost pressure.
The result is a camshaft that delivers strong torque under boost, excellent throttle response, and improved high-RPM breathing, making it a popular choice for performance-focused turbo or supercharged A-Series builds.
This camshaft works particularly well in 1275-based engines fitted with forced-induction systems, where maintaining cylinder pressure and efficient airflow is critical for reliable power gains.
